Are sweet alice/alyssum acid loving? Put some in a container with a little ivy and they do not seem to be thriving . Or is it the sun?

RHS says any type soil http://apps.rhs.org.uk/plantselector/plant?plantid=3410 but one site said they are acid lovers

Try...Armstrong Growers.ie...and type in "Alyssum"...they have a fairly long list of "Do's and Dont's" so you may find the Info' your looking for...
