Hey, I'm wondering if I should wait until my earlies flower before testing to see if they're ready. They're vigorous as hell, full bush and tall. I planted them on March 16th, but they took their time appearing. Once they did, though, they flew. What do I do, wait for flowers? They of the Maris species. |

Some potato varieties never flower.
If you're curious, choose one plant at the end of a row and sink your hand thru' the soil and grab a tuber. This'll give you the best indication to harvest. |

Cheers for the reply. I didn't know that, about some never flowering. Right, I'll pop out in the morning and have a poke. Fingers crossed. |

I did that test dig and it's clear enough that they've still a way to go. They we're all pretty small, but we did get enough for dinner, So tasty. I'll leave the rest sit for another few weeks. A couple had clear holes right through them. What's that from, slugs? Hope they leave off the rest. |
