Hi
We have a large compost bin and make beautiful compost from it.

I have just make a lot od elderflower cordial and I was wondering if the spent flowers and lemons can go in the compost bin?

The reason for my reluctance is the sugar content that I added to the flowers and lemons to make the cordial

Does anyone know what I should do please? Smile

Throw the lot in......the quantity would be proportionally very small, and anyway, if you throw out rotten fruit, it would have natural fruit sugar....I don't see there's a problem.

Soak them in water, then rinse of the sugar.
