My thalictrum had two branches into one was snapped off. Now the leaves are starting to turn yellow (not at the base, just half way up) and the other branch is drooping. Is it dying? I'm a bit devastated as its new and it was starting to look fabulous before it all went wrong!

I don't think it has dried out, I've been careful to water it - maybe I overwatered it? But it the leaves only started to shrivel once the stem had been damaged, would it be that? If I dig it up and nurse it in a pot do you think it would help?
