Well tagwex your just you and we're used to you ha ha

The drug adverts were on about 8 different topics so you went into it to see what they were saying and it was just pictures of bottles of tablets and prices. So like all good gardeners it was nipped in the bud.

Going to fill some more hanging baskets with strawberries today now I've got some new compost. At last the sun has come out. It was looking really bleak first thing this morning.

Well not quite what I done today but yesterday. Sprayed the whole place with Gallup to kill off the weeds in readiness for the tractor man to come in and plough up for me. It starts again.

Lovely day again. Warmth in the sun. Buds breaking open. Cold wind still but hey its all starten to happen. Picked a few dafs, hyacinths, tulips to put in a vase with a sprig of forsythia. Thats as much gardening i have done yet. Just tidying up still

Luke came over on Saturday and cut up the fallen Scot's pine. I need it out of the way so I can put up the camera nest box.

That done, he called over on Monday with his trailer and yesterday to load it up with all the brash and other detritus from around the garden. He bought his little girl along - she wanted to see the fish! I don't think I have answered so many questions about my garden (or anything else for that matter!) Very Happy

There are 101 things I could be doing this afternoon, but my get up and go has got up and gone. Sad

Just heard of a new series on BBC1, Sunday 'Wild Ireland - the edge of the world'. It's all about the Wild Atlantic Way - home ground for some of us. Might be worth catching.

I saw that advertised Sue. I saw a programme a couple of months ago which went up Croagh Patrick and all the way round Ireland. A lovely gentle programme.

OH took a bird box down as there was nothing in it. We'd noticed wasps going in late Autumn so wanted to give it a good clean. Yes there was a wasp nest (dead) in there but birds had been in there and had started to eat it away. All clean and back now ready for Springs new babies

Finally got out into the garden this afternoon! I have been decorating mum's room all week. I'm absolutely shattered!

I planted up some ferns that I bought earlier in the week and potted on 10 'Sakura' tomato seedlings that arrived this week.

OK Tagwex, who's gonna win? Not golf's greatest fan, but I wouldn't miss Augusta for ANYTHING. If the golf gets boring there is always the stunning course to admire. Very Happy Oooh they've stopped waffling so I'll go.

Well, before the tournament started I had picked out Justin Rose, he still has a chance but it is getting slim now. I think Garcia has Seve in his head so that will play on his mind too much. At the moment it looks like Spieth as he is building up a bit of momentum. It would be great if one of the lesser lights, McGirt or Hoffman, could do it but these type of players usually fall away as they don't have the mental strength for the last day. That said, I am going to stick my neck out and say Pieters to win. Now if I was there......

If you were there, what? Laughing

I'd like Garcia to win. But I think you are right.

It's such a lovely place, hats off to the team that look after it. All the birds singing and, today, the sunshine. Plus we have the best seats! Very Happy

If I was there then I would win it. Just couldn't go this year due to an ingrowing toe nail. I might have been right initially about Rose.

I followed Sergio Garcia around when he had just started Pro and his first time in Ireland at Druid's Glen. Mind you, that was a little while ago now. Smile

Still little in it, should be good this afternoon!

Back to the garden - this morning I was reminded of something Vita Sackville-West wrote, 'how swift and sudden strode that tardy Spring, between a sunrise and a sunset come'. Now I understand what she meant! Almost overnight the birch trees have leaves and there is a hint of pink on the apple trees. Very Happy I LOVE Spring!
