I have six meter I want to plant beech trees from aldi. How close together so they will form a block of an unsightly wall |

Ok, so you want a hedge? Dig a trench 18" deep, and 3" wide. Add compost. Water well. Plant the Beech 18" apart from each other, in a double row, so you end up with a zig zag pattern. Make sure to plant them with the root collar at ground level, no deeper. Erring on the high side would be better. Stake each plant with a cane, and keep well watered and weed free for at least two years. |

i've heard that it's not unknown for seeds to be collected in ireland to grow in mainland europe - so certified irish seed stock can be european grown! |
