I'm itching to start planting my hanging baskets and containers, but when I look at long range weather forecasts I'm seeing all sorts of different predictions! Does anyone know when it's safe to start planting?

Go for it! If frost is forecast, you can cover the baskets, or bring them in. If the plants you buy are tender, you can harden them off the same way before leaving them out permanently.

I would say the ideal time to start planting flowers for your hanging basket is the end of May and early June!
