I bought five bare root climbing roses about 6 weeks ago and as I did not have a bed ready put them I big pot. When would I need to get them into the ground? All advice welcome?

ASAP if planting them near a wall plant them art an angle of 45 deg to the wall this will prevent them from falling over when they become established.

Thank you I better get moving. I need to build a raised bed against the wall for them. Would it be possible to plant some geranium to add base colour with them or would they be hardy enough?

ails-
Be aware if the wall you are planting the roses next to, is part of a house building. Then ensure you place a barrier next to the wall, before building up the soil level. Otherwise piling
up soil against the structure, will bypass the damp course - resulting in
an ingress of water into the building.

Thanks samwoerth. No thankfully it is a retaining wall! Hopefully there will be no similar problems with this?
