Hi

Would anyone know form this picture what this tree is. Its evergreen and is common enough around the neighborhood. If pic is not clear enough I can go back and try and get a closer picture. Didn't want to be going into the peoples garden Smile

Thanks for any help.
Cheers Dave

Euculyptus, Its not Gunni but could be Eucalyptus dalrympleana, if you get a closer pic of the leaves i may be able to identify it, Is it growing in Ireland.

crush a leaf and smell it and that should tell you whether its eucalyptus or not.

Thanks for the feedback. It would be great to figure out the type of Eucalyptus it is.

It was difficult to get a close up of the trees in the various gardens as the trees were in walled back gardens.

I did take a close up of one smaller tree in another garden but not sure if it is the same tree but looks similar as attached.

What is the growth rate of the Eucalyptus Gunnii Azurra ?
Would the Standard Eucalyptus Gunnii be hardy enough for Irish weather ?

Also what about the Eucalyptus Niphophylla. What is the growth rate of this tree and would it be hardy enough. Going on some sites these types of Eucalyptus would fit into the hardier category.

Thanks again Dave

I personally wouldn't plant a eucalyptus.....I'm sure you'll find a thread on this subject if you do a search on the site....and you'll see some of the reasons why.....
