I want to grow bamboo in my garden for a number of reasons.
1) to use bamboo canes as stakes for my veg patch and other climbing plants
2) to hide some ugly walls/ditches within the garden
3) to decorate the garden
The locations within my garden would be quite varied with shaded and full sun spots along with clay soil and wet soil, rocky patches and good fertile soil.
is there any bamboo that would suit my needs or am I being optimistic?

On the subject of Bamboos....does anyone know of a specie that would be suitable for a Coastal Region...able to withstand strong cold winds....in fact if there were more than one specie all the better.... |
