Maybe last October I bought some heathers and put some tomato feed to protect them for the winter. Now the labels blew off over winter and I do not know which is which as some were acid lovers and some could grow in any soil.Any ideas?

when they flower, will give u a good idea, what they are, as they are likely to be common heathers, prune back flowers when finish and you get good display next year, truth is if you bought them in a garden centre and flowering they are winter heathers

Doran's nurseries are the best growers of heathers in Ireland fantastic selection.
I always find them difficult to identify, maybe this page from the website can help.

Here are some pics

Heather 1 very brown is it dead?
Heather 2 shows 4 in pots. are they starting or endng flowering. i think they flowred over winter but there seems new growth
Heather 3 there are 4 in this pic. Note two small ones. at top left one is light green
Heather 4 Same as 3 different angle

Some sites say they should not be fed except when planting, others say regular feed with acid feed.

Help appreciated
