Hi Guys, first time poster here - apologies in advance if I thread over old ground (of if this is not the correct forum for this post)

Basically, myself and my wife made some raised beds for the back of our garden (about 2.5ft off the ground).
Now, we have two dogs and they destroy the beds when they get into them - digging, burrowing, general destruction - and our plants and flowers don't stand a chance.

We've given up trying to keep them out of the beds as anything we've tried hasn't worked.
So, what we're thinking of doing now is putting down some sort of wire/mesh guard flat onto the compost, covering it completely (cutting holes out for the plants) so the dogs won't be able to dig their way down through the compost. Have you guys any suggestions advice on this or would you have any alternative suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Ronan

Train the dogs! Or confine them to a pen. Or put a fence around the beds - like a deer fence. Farmers use electric fences to corral animals.
