I was loking for an Article by An Irish grower which would have been much better than an Americam view. What got my goat recently was when buying a Christmas tree in the local Garden centre a customer was having a go at the chaps working there that they were overpriced all you had to do was stick them in the ground with no maintenaince and just collect your money he also suggested to the lads that a handy way to make money was to plant willow and flog it to those with wood burning stoves easy money, was he growing andy of the above NO, had he done market research NO did he know what he was talking about NO, I was going to have a go but no im the mature one deep greath and walk away. |

A little bit of trivia for you.
Do you know who introduced the custom of Christmas Trees to England, which then spread to here?
A: Prince Albert in 1841. He was German and brought the custom with him from there.
Now, don't you feel better for knowing that? _________________ .

No I knew that but did you know it was Coca Cola who invented santa as we know him
But we all know the real Santa lives in the North Pole with the Elves and Reindeer. |

One of my sons got into trouble in school when he was young for giving the Coca Cola origins of the red-suited Santa etc as an answer in class. The teacher thought he was being facetious. But to her credit, when she discovered he was correct she apologized not only to him, but also to me when I was collecting him from school ! She was astonished that he would know such a thing....and that was in the days before the internet folks........
Happy Christmas one and all. |
