A vegetable container growing query. Early spuds I planted in August initially did well but have since mostly failed. The problem first becomes noticeable with leaf damage, circular spots. It then appears to progress to the stems.
Recently I saw the same damage in a local community garden growing spuds in raised beds. The gardens were advised to top the plants to save any potatoes that might have grown. Does this sound like a bacterium or just another symptom of this years 'mild' weather.
