Is it necessary to wait for all leaves to have fallen from various shrubs before moving them or are they sufficiently "hibernating" by mid November? |

yes, It is recommended to wait.
I don't know how big the plant is but generally what i do is:
2 weeks before transplanting (now) dig a trench 1 1/2 ft deep around the plant- this will cut the roots and give the plant a chance to recover before you lift and transplant |

Thanks for the advice. Never heard of doing that before. Have a number of plants of varying sizes to move so will start preparing them this weekend !
Anything special I should do with Azalea/Magnolia/Rhodedendrun? just wondering because they bloom so early in the year. |
