HI everyone.

I was just given some convallia rootings which I popped into pots as I dont have time to plant them directly into the garden at the moment. The only soil I have is commerical potting soil to which I've added a little home made compost - its not ideal but usually suitable for all unfussy plants.

Now my neighbour has suggested convallaria can be fussy. Acid loving? Is this true? What does this mean? Do I need to use ericaceous compost and will I have a problem when I plant them out?

I was actually think of leaving them in their pots until next year even if they flowered for the first time in the pots. My garden beds need a major overhaul and my back is problematic and costing me valuable garden time. It will be winter in another 4 minutes and it will be too cold to be carving holes in the pencil quarry I loosely call my garden. Is this an ok plan.

Thanks for any advice.
