How would I know if the Downy Mildew caused the Lizzie to begin to die.

It's in a pot indoors. There was another one in a different room that completely died.

Where did you get busy lizzies this year as growers have stopped growing them for a season???

A few seeds I got from my brother. I think they were got in Lidl a long time ago.

growers in britain stopped growing busy lizzies this year but there were some available from irish growers
