...to lay a brick mowing strip in the current weather?I'm in Dublin and was going to do this by excavating the strip, tamping down the soil, couple inches of sand and then a mortar layer onto which to bed the bricks. The ground though is just so saturated.Been waiting a few weeks already having dug the earth but the weather has been so wet.Am I best to continue to be patient and wait for a dry spell?God knows when that will be!
Thanks.

A local Builder was doing a similiar job in my area last week, that Evening on my way Home he'd finished and had covered his work in plastic sheeting I watched with interest over the coming Days as the Weather here in the N/W has been pretty miserable and he followed the same procedure each Evening. by the end of the Week he'd finished the Job and 3 Days later he removed all the covering to reveal a lovely Job well done.
I suppose the moral here is that any Job can be done in adverse Weather provided you take all precautions and are prepared to put up with getting a soaking.
I've done many a Job in terrible Weather and cussed ever starting it but by Evening after a hot relaxing Bath and looking back over my efforts 99% of the time I say "Yes, it was worth it."
