Hello, I wonder if anyone here might know the name for this particular lavender. Pictured above grass to show how silvery the foliage is. Many thanks for any help!

Welcome ClaraD
Lavendula angustifolia.
However, there are many named cultivars.
Impossible to say which one this is.

I would have prefered a view of the whole plant but I suggest it is Lavanduoa stoechas or Fremch Lavander as it has greyish leaves.
Lavandula angustifolia or English lavander would have darker greener leaves.

Thanks for your replies, Silver surfer and Greengage. Sorry that I don't have any pictures of the full plant. I am slowly learning that there are lots of lavender cultivars and it's a tall order to request a name for this exact one. It's beautifully silvery and delicate. I might try to take a cutting from it next time I see it.

The different names come from the colour,(purple, blue, white, pink,) height of the flowersetc etc.
