It takes years of training and continuous use to be able to identify the plants and being able to identify them by their common name and botanical name as well as their Irish name if available. Along with that another part of our training was the identification of wild flowers. Some people are gifted being able to remember every film they ever saw and the film stars or the names of footballers and who they played for. I can remember the name of every movie I ever saw and where I saw it. I can remember the names of most Irish weeds and where I saw them first.. Oh incidently I saw only three movies.
