I saw parthenocissus green spring somewhere. Is this evergreen and will it climb a wall without support. I did google but got conflicting views.
I have an ugly wall that needs evergreen cover quickly |

Most climbers take a life time to cover a wall. Other than ivy your options are limited.
If its a sunny location i like the star jasmine - Trachelosperum jasminoides, its evergreen, is self clinging, but can be slow to grow.
The potato vine - semi- evergreen, wont cling but will grow fast, is another option
Planting both together would provide suitable cover after a year of 2.
If Its a shady location, maybe plant the evergreen clematis montana, Hydrangea anomala and your boston ivy. |
