i have strawberry plants that i transplanted and they are starting to flower i have been told not to let them just pinch off the flowers what does that mean do i take the whole flower or the inside of it above the petals and when do i do it (as soon as i spot one or let it develop)

I would let them flower and produce fruit if you pinch off the flowers you'll get no fruit the first year but lots of runners with daughter plants. if you allow the plants to fruit, you'll get fewer and smaller berries the first year, and fewer daughter plants. its your decision if you have lots of plants take off flowers on half and let the others set fruit.. |
