I read somewhere that if you put a crushed up garlic bulb down by the roots of a rose bush its supposed to keep greenfly away. Has anyone else heard this??? Well today I tried it so I will let you know what happens over the next few weeks. It would be great if it worked. I also tried it on a couple of house plants. So heres hopin. |

if you sow garlic or chives in the rose bed the roses take up some of the 'onion ness' (for want of a better word ) through their roots making them more unattractive to greenfly and aphids |
