Dear All...
Planted well-chitted first-earlies over a month ago and they've been pushing up out of the dirt quite nicely. I went to earth them up a little today and noticed some of the shoots were dark green and rotting. I know it's been cold over the past few nights but didn't notice a significant frost - is this what's done it? Surely it's too early for blight?
Any how - those rotting leaves and shoots I've just pulled off... I've now covered them again with soil. Is this OK? Will they survive? |

that was frost damage. You did the right thing by covering them with soil. They will grow again and faster than you expect.
