Hello Folks,

I live on the coast in North County Dublin and I'm looking for Leucanthemella serotina (Giant Daisy). I've been trying for ages and cannot find any shops or garden centres which stock it. If anyone can point me in right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks and look forward to any feed-back.

Hello Yelruf.
Yes, surprisingly, Leucanthemella serotina is quite hard to find in most garden centres.
It may have something to do with the eventual size of the plant and its tendency to spread quite a bit not fitting in with the majority of smaller town gardens today.

You may have more luck in sourcing it if you visit a countryside garden centre, down the country.
I had a check through my Irish nursery catalogues, but could not find the plant stocked.
That's not to say its not out there.

If you wish to order Leucanthemella serotina mail order, then have a look at this English nursery...
http://www.plantpref.co.uk/html/h_to_l.htm
Leucanthemella serotina is about 2/3 of the way down the page.
Unfortunately, their minimum delivery charge to Ireland is over 30 euro.
So, you may want to put a few more plants on that order, to make the delivery charge worth it.

A sure fire way to get your hands on the large daisy is to receive it as a plant division from a fellow gardener (still time for this).
Maybe someone here on Irish gardens has the plant.
You could also try your luck at your local garden society.
Hope you have some luck in your search, Yelruf.
