I have one side of the house that is very warm, and have successfully grown gherkin against the wall.
In Aldi yesterday I took a punt and picked up a couple of tomato growers, hanging basket types.
I have not grown tomato in this way before and hope someone might know a hardy cherry type grown in this way _________________ My Garden blog

I have grown Tumbling Tom, red and yellow varieties, the last couple of years and they are absolutely beautiful, especially the yellows. They crop very well and we had tomatoes until November, though they were in the greenhouse, but they can be grown outside also. I'll post a pic later.
I couldn't recommend them enough... |
