Over recent years I have planted bulbs in groups of, maybe 10 daffodils, 10 tulips, 10 crocus and 10 snowdrops.
I am puzzled as to why the tulips appear to give me the best return. The daffodils over a couple of years disappear and the snowdrops and crocus appear to do the same.
I there something in the ground feeding on the bulbs?
I also notice that some daffodil flowers are almost eaten away. The flowers actually come up with the buds eaten away. What can I do about this?

Birds could be tearing the flowers and slugs are eating the buds. The bulbs themselves are toxic so its probably slugs as well any chance of a pic. |

I have taken some photographs but I am unable to send them to this web site. If you have an email address I could send them by Picassa.
