Hi

Just new to the forum...what a wonderful source of information it is, loving it Smile I just moved to cavan and wanting to plant some apple trees. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a nursery to purchase them? or even suitable varieties for the area

There are also 2 old apple trees near the area where I intent to plant that look like they have canker, would canker spread to the new trees?

cheers

Try this website:

Though I fear their stock will be sold out this late in the season. It may be worth waiting till the autumn if their amazing varieties interest you. They do fantastic work saving old Irish varieties from extinction. You may be even able to find an apple tree native to Cavan.

Hi Guys

thanks so much. Checked out seed savers and they seem to be pretty sold out. I guess its getting abit late in the season.

Going to give future forests a call and hopefully have more luck

THANKS
