I've been having another look at this garden with a view to getting inspiration for my own alpine beds. While doing so, I was reminded of my visit in Brittany to Le Jardin Exotique et Botanique at Roscoff where there are some very good planting season into granite boulders - something that could go well in West Donegal. I've included a pic of the steps leading up to a viewing point in the garden (not my own pic).

Very impressive. I like the cacti in the greenhouse - amazing that he has so many together. Makes my 'collection' seem very pathetic.
