I am trying to find a good list of garden centres and their websites for Ireland but am mostly directed to golden pages and various other listing sites.
Does anyone know of a free online directory?
Otherwise I will have to start one myself
Thanks,
Ben |

Hiya Ben,
My life experience taught me if you want something done the best way is to do it yourself. The Irish Gardeners Forum seems to me to be an excellent place to have a definitive and bang up to date list of Garden Centres on the island. Go for it. _________________ Retired trouble-maker. twitters @walltoall and dreams of being promoted to Pedunculate Oaker. |

I am sure if you ask about on the forum you will find some garden centres. There's always someone with the answer to the question. |

bord glas now subsumed into bord bia would have a list of approved garden centres. I have read too many blogs praising supposed good garden centres and I have visited many garden centres where the standard of knowledge is abysmal. I dont know if the food safety authority now carry out the role of Bord bia since the horse meat scandal.

might be worth starting a list here - i don't think it'd be easy to format as a thread, though, you'd need it in a table that posters could add to. |

Good idea..but.that suggestion was rooted on " Our Garden Centres are Struggling" by Sive...but apart from a few entries of several Centres it seems to have sizzled out and nothing more has been added so I honestly cannot see a dedicated Table to "Garden Centres" being a success...
I'd love to be proven wrong..... |

Or you could go here: http://pininthemap.com/87ee0313ad04a1bc5 and click 'add extra pin to this map' at the bottom??
Find where the garden centre is and add a pin to the map! |
