Hi - I've been offered some raspberry canes at the allotment from someone who is giving up their plot at the end of the year. He doesn't know if they are the Summer or Autumn type. I know from reading that it is important to know as they are pruned differently. There are 6 plants - 5 have a small amount of editble fruit still on them, the other one has some well dried up fruit still clinging on. Would it be a fair assumption that the 5 plants are autumn, and the other one is summer? Are there any distinguishing traits to separate them in appearance? I have never grown them before.
Any advice appreciated, also on how best to transplant them.
