I've got early nantes which are now fully mature and pretty big. I was wondering how long I can keep these in the soil? I've been pulling a bunch every week but I dont want to pull them all up just yet, but I also dont want to lose any. |

early Nantes being an early maturing variety will tend to split if left in the ground too long. It s chief merit is its earliness. It has poor keeping quality but may be lifted and stored in sand short term 2-3 months as soon as all leaves have died off or ma be left in the ground and used as required. Protect them from frost and slugs.
