Can anyone help, I have a small tree which I have grown from a creamy coloured seed that I picked off a tree in the south of France, I have looked at all the leaf identification charts I can find but no luck, the nearest leaves i have found are like those of a feverfew(Chrysanthemum Parthenium) plant but I have a tree not a flower plant and the leaves on my small tree are pointed not rounded. Yours in anticipation but not holding my breath, Alan.

This has been puzzling me since I saw the other thread on these forums.
I think I may have it.
I have only seen it in flower before, never seen the berries.

Compare it to Melia azedarach. Common name Persian lilac.

Hi Silver Surfer, As prof Henry Higgins said, I think you've got it, the Burncoose pictures are a yes, the other link is very undecided, so I'm going after more pics now you have given me a name, you're right on the money I think. Thanks Alan.
