Hi Guys. I planted this Rhubarb about 2 Years ago, and it seems to be doing ok (as i thought). Now yesterday when i cut through the Stalks, this is what it looks like (see pics). Can anyone here tell me, what is causing the Holes, thats all through the Stalk, Many Thanks.

These holes which run the length of the stem was in the past attributed to a shortage of Boron in he soil. Recent thinking suggests that it is more than likley caused by a shortage of moisture and high temperatures. This condition is more likely to occur in light sandy soils that have low humus content. T%he solution is to add plenty compost especially in early Sring and add plenty water in dry periobs
