Hi
Do you need a designer too? Or just a landscaper? |

Hello - not sure I know the difference? Wanted someone to do the complete job - clear the land, recommend a planting arrangement (& the plants) and then plant them.
Does that make sense?
Cheers, Paul. |

Well landscaper would do the hard landscaping (that's the labour part) and usually plant the plants too. Also they can do the whole job including design but there's a risk that the design and plant selection won't be the best quality ones (sometimes they depend on what the landscaper has in stock on his yard at the moment ) It's very important because of the odd weather we got the last couple of years... You need to get the plants right - the hardiness and the size matters, the whole year round interest etc.. Most of landscapers provide the whole service with a free design but not always the design is a good quality, like I said. So it really depends on what you want, how big is your garden (yours' not so big) and if you're ready to spend a bit more money and get a designer (price depends on the size of the garden again).
I can recommend a good designer. She might know a few landscapers. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that in my post??? I can send you a pm and then you can decide. |

easyram, would you be able to send me a pm withe the reccomendation of the designer please? I have a relatively large back garden that is in dire need of some love and attention, would be nice to get the design done before the winter so I could plan the work out over next year.
I was very temped to get a groupon deal a while back for a crowd based in dublin called maximise design http://www.groupon.ie/deals/dublin-special/maximize-design-landscape-gardening/295702
but I wasn't sure about it at the time. |
