Hi,
Can someone tell me if all the usual garden pests are killed off over winter, so long as we have some freezing weather of course.
What I mean is, are we starting with a mostly clean bill of health each spring or are there some good preventative over wintering policies we should adopt?
Thanks |

Afraid not, slugs are safely down in the soil and will always come back. Leather jackets and sawfly the same. I'm sure the same thing goes for cabbage root fly, and the other root flies. The best way to beat them is to take the preventative measures when planting out your plants. |
