Hi
I got a seed last year in a garden. The seed pod was oval in shape and about the size of a Euro coin. When the seed pod dried you could nearly see through it. The seed pod contained two or three individual flat seeds. I think its a silver penny or silver something due to the colour of the seed pods.
My question is what is its name and is it a perennial?
Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure what you describe is a plant called Honesty ( Lunaria Annua )
It is very easy to grow, and once you put it into your garden, it will self seed and you'll always have it. It has purple/pink flowers in early summer which turn into those beautiful seed pods later. |
