Maybe it would be better phrased by what not to plant after the first early spuds are dug out. Looking for suggestions please. I presume they will all mostly be dug out by end of june so I know my choices will be limited.

According to my 1941 gardners guide, winter and spring cabbage after the addition of lime if soil is acidic - as it should be for spuds..
There are also Japanese onions, winter beans etc.
You could also go for perennials I guess like lambs lettuce, winter purslane etc.
