I am repotting a ficus elastica variegata using http://www.gardencentre.co.uk/product.asp?id=71
I am concerned re the possibility of fungus gnats as had that before with other compost. This is a nice plant and do not want any problems. The compost is unopened. |

I was reading more on the John Innes compost and it says
Because of the loam content in John Innes Composts, the fertiliser levels can be increased to suit the vigour or growth rate of the plant, which would not be safe in peat-based composts.
Why would it not be safe to increase fertiliser levels in peat based composts?
@ ff re site- no problem glad to help |
