i want to spray under a new hedge to kill off and prevent weeds growing without killing the hedge!!!. one hedge is beech and the other is laurel. any ideas on what to use and what dose????. any help |

It would be possible to spray under the beech hedge before it comes into leaf (so it's too late now) and not really possible to spray under the laurel hedge without damaging it. I doubt if there is really any way to control the weeds other than manually I'm afraid! |

During the summer I put a layer of grass cuttings under my hedge every 4-6 weeks at a depth of 2-3 inches. It works wonders on my 2 year old beech hedge and I rarely see any weeds. |
