Hi everyone. I was given a load of this stuff and I remembered from somewhere that blueberries enjoy acid soil which is what I understand ericaceous soil to be - please correct me if I am wrong.

So is it just blackberries or is it all berries?? I was thinking of using this compost for strawberries and gooseberries as well.

Can you plant straight into ericaceous compost fresh out of the bag or does it need further treatment?

Thanks for advice

I have used it mixed with soil and rotted manure in roughly equal parts - a bit more soil if anything.
All my berries are thriving (strawberries, white, red and blackcurrants, and blueberries)
