I just pulled a flower from my cucumber plant thinking it was a male flower and now I'm second guessing myself.
The first pic shows a female flower and the second pic is a male... right?

Check the variety you are growing. It is a common myth that all need the male flower removed.
Seems to have become 'common knowledge' in last fwe decades, but I've been reading a few old (60's and 70's) gardening/veg books and aparently there are toehr causes for bitterness and the male flowers are blamed a lot fo the time incorrectly. |
