Love the photos! It's great to see things in progress. Makes me more determined to attempt posting a few myself. Your new beds are interesting. Looks like you used old scaffold boards.
I'm wondering what the going rate is, as I need to do more construction - my new veg garden is up a steep bank about 10 ft high, so I need steps. Otherwise it's a dodgy clamber up and down, or the long way round, via my drive.

When I started my plot a couple of years ago I decided to use scaffolding boards and make raised beds. It makes things a lot neater and more manageable. I've added a few more each year, now I'm finished. Just need to get some weed fabric down to cut out the weeds and save on work during the summer when the weeds take off.

Keep an eye on www.donedeal.ie and www.adverts.ie, always someone selling boards. Good quality 8ft boards are going for around 4 each delivered.
