Starting early!

What are the chances that blight can strike plants with only a few leaves above the soil? Would we be better to earth them up to avoid the blight spores? |

Chances of blight have receded with advent of cold weather. Earthing up if not already done is a good idea and reduce risk of frost which is likely in the next few weeks.

Too cold here in Dublin for it at the present.
2009 had one blight warning in April, one in May, one in June, then many thereafter. |
