Caterpillars eating Aquilegias

Has anyone noticed an infestation of very small green caterpillars eating all the leaves on Aquilegias this year ? I've never seen this happen before....the smaller ( mostly self-sown ) clumps are more badly affected than the very well established larger plants.
I wonder has the very dry April anything to do with it .....

I've noticed a few green caterpillars around but not enough to call an infestation! They're very fat though Smile
