I would be really interested in doing something similar.
We get a lot of frogs/toads which my wife hates, so a pool is pretty much out, but I do love the sound of running water.
Does it use a single supply of water recycled? I presume it needs power too?

hi gb .yes it uses a single supply of water.which is kept in a bason or sump ,filled with stones.and a pump recycles the water.the waterfall is built with 4 in blocks and faced with stone.any diy person could this.if you want any more imfo just ask. yours ponddigger

hi list of materials for pondless. 2 pieces of rubber liner,1 for bason or sump which, measures 6 ft long 4 ft wide 2 ft deep ,second for stream 2 ft wide and6 ft long. old carpet for under liner. 1 and half in pipe 12 ft long. pump .12 in pipe by 2 ft long with holes in it to house the pump in the bason. 4 in blocks. building stone. bag of 1in to 2 in round stone to fill the bason. cement ,sand and gravel. yours ponddigger

BAD idea unless, you want to void your liner guarantee.*
Most liner makers will NOT honor any guarantee if you use carpet, you should use sand (2inch layer) OR a liner underlay. (Depending on what the maker says)
Old carpet, rots after time, giving no support and it does not fit corners very well, again, giving no support.
Your choice.
*Liners often have anything from 5 -35 year guarantee.

I showed it to 'himself' - he loves it, it might be something to think about next year, however, he's a total DIY disaster.
