When it comes to Tomatoes/cucumbers in the greenhouse? is it possible to have the temperature in the greenhouse at 30-35Degrees C during the day provided you block direct sunlight burning your plants...i was just browsing the net and i came across a video of a guy growing tom's and such in a polytunnel and his max temp during the day was just below 40degrees.. his polytunnel plastic seemed to be blocking direct sunlight but the temp was really warm..and this has me thinking. i've been leaving the door and window of my greenhouse open to maintain a regular temp 20-24'ish ...but i'd like to keep the greenhouse door closed as im getting loads of flies and the occasional cat having a nose..Can i paint the white wash on the glass and leave the door closed all day? temp will definately rise..but what's the max temp the cucumbers and tom's will tolerate.
a bit long winded i know! sorry! |
