hi i have just bought Honeysuckle plant to grow up a wall that has not been plastered of shed and was wondering should i use some sort of wire or trellis? Do i then need to tie it to its support or does it twine itself? very much a novice as you can see.  |

You'll need a trellis or something to allow the honeysuckle support. It does not ATTACH itself to walla etc. i it's natural habitat. It clambers thorough existing hedges. But you could cheat by hammering long thin masonry nails all over the wall if the concrete is soft and can take it. Then you can tie the honeysuckle to it with "twisters" When iut gets to the top of the wall it will learn to drape itself and from then on you're in biz _________________ Retired trouble-maker. twitters @walltoall and dreams of being promoted to Pedunculate Oaker. |
