Hi. This has popped up and I didnt plant it. if only the plants I did elect to plant did as well as the strange stuff that pops up on its own steam? A little bit of exploratory surgery to the soil around the base indicates that it came from a bulb. Its so pretty I'd love to have a few more. Thanks

I think you will find it is a Camassia sp.

Thanks for that. Actually Camassia rings a bell in that someone gave me one as a gift a while back. I should have mentioned the height which rules out Chionodoxa although there is a similarity in the flowers. I love Chionodoxa and have 3 or 4 varieties brightening up an otherwise bleak time.
