Hey Tagwax.....jsut wonderign how you got on with this?

Did you use double glazing? I have a load of old double glazing windows knocking about that I am thinking of trying to use for a Greenhouse, but wondering if it will make it too hot or cause other problems?

It turned out that the double glazed units were not toughened so I did use them after the 4mm ordinary glass ran out. The only problem I had was that the combined thickness of both sheets where they overlap was too much for the glazing clips. So I had to move a few of them around until the clips could hold the panes in place. Toughened glass cannot be cut. Check if your own sheets are toughened, if they are then you cannot use them unless you are making the frame as well so happy days. Seperate the panes and use away. My greenhouse got up to over 40 degrees over the summer so what would it be like if you used a double glazed unit?
